Melancholic and delicately constructed, Tiger Tail in Blue stars Frank V. Ross and Rebecca Spence as Chris and Melody, a recently married couple stuck working opposite schedules. Melody teaches high school during the day; Chris waits tables at night. Taking place about a year into their marriage, the honeymoon phase has ended and things are beginning to settle. Their love is real, but the struggle to see each other causes a strain, especially as Chris develops a flirtatious relationship with a new co-worker. Featuring elegant cinematography by Mike Gibisser and a heartbreaking score by John Medeski and Chris Speed, Tiger Tail in Blue explores how easily time slips away while seeking out the smallest, most fleeting opportunities to regain some sort of traction in order to make sense of it all.
“Frank V. Ross is a true American independent… [Tiger Tail in Blue] presents the finest qualities of Ross’ perceptive approach to familiar dramas.” – Eric Kohn, Indiewire
